Organic gardening activity with survivors of human trafficking at the Center of Hope Safe House together with the Visayan Forum (VF) was held last December 6, 2016. Cecilia Oebanda, VF Executive Director and Zonta Club of Pasig External Vice-President, started with the Opening Remarks followed by the Opening Message of Solita Tan-Gatue, Zonta Club of Pasig President.   Then Dolly E. Borlongan gave a short talk on Organic Gardening and taught the girls “How to Plant from a Seed” specifically lemon, siling labuyo and avocado. She gave them a Lemon Plant and a Siling Labuyo Plant grown from a seed as examples of the successful organic gardening in a pot.   Nahnee Monje taught them how to plant mallunggay and gave them branches of the mallunggay to plant in their vacant lot within the Center of Hope property. This is the start of an organic farm which the Center of Hope intends to develop.

We then had games and a Christmas presentation by the Center of Hope Survivors followed by a Boodle fight Salu-Salo Lunch.
